Overview
The Reports module is one of the most powerful tools available to managers in AdlDesk. It aggregates data from across all firm operations and presents it in a structured, visual format that supports data-driven decision making for case strategy, resource allocation, and financial oversight.
Accessing Reports
Click Reports in the sidebar. The page loads with the Summary tab active by default. Use the Period Selector dropdown in the top-right corner to choose the reporting window: This Week, This Month, Last Quarter, Last 6 Months, This Year, or Custom Range.
Key Performance Indicators
The KPI row at the top of the Summary tab displays four headline metrics:
- Total Cases — All cases created within the selected period.
- Won / Lost Ratio — Percentage of closed cases marked as Won versus Lost. Hover over the ratio for the raw counts.
- Revenue — Total invoiced amount within the period (from linked financial records).
- Collection Rate — Percentage of invoiced amounts that have been collected. A low collection rate signals outstanding receivables that need follow-up.
Charts
Below the KPIs, four chart panels present the data visually:
- Cases by Status (Pie Chart) — Distribution of cases across statuses: Active, Pending, Closed, On Hold, Archived.
- Cases by Type (Bar Chart) — Volume of cases grouped by practice area (Commercial, Criminal, Civil, Family, etc.).
- Revenue Over Time (Line Chart) — Monthly revenue trend over the selected period. Useful for spotting seasonal patterns or growth trajectory.
- Lawyer Comparison (Bar Chart) — Side-by-side comparison of cases handled and completed per lawyer during the period.
Filtering Reports
Use the filter controls above the charts to narrow the data:
- By Lawyer — Show data for a specific team member only.
- By Case Type — Focus on a specific practice area.
- By Date Range — Set a precise start and end date using the custom range picker.
Exporting Reports
To export the current report view:
- Apply any desired filters.
- Click Export PDF for a print-ready formatted report, or Export Excel for a spreadsheet with raw data rows.
- The exported file uses the active filters and date range, so what you see is what you export.
