Platform Settings

Configure global platform defaults, email templates, notification rules, and maintenance mode from one central settings page.

Overview

The Platform Settings page (Platform → Settings) is where you configure the global behavior of the AdlDesk platform. Changes here affect all tenants and the platform itself. Organize settings into four sections: General, Email Templates, Notification Rules, and Maintenance Mode.

Platform Settings

General Settings

Core platform configuration:

  • Platform Name — The name displayed in emails, browser tab titles, and the login page header
  • Support Email — The email address shown to tenants when they need help; also the reply-to address for all platform-generated emails
  • Default Trial Days — Number of free trial days granted to new tenants upon registration (can be overridden per-tenant at creation time)
  • Default Locale — The default language for the platform UI and emails (Arabic, English, or French)

Email Templates

Customize the content of transactional emails sent to tenants:

  • Welcome Email — Sent when a new tenant registers. Includes login credentials, getting-started links, and support contact.
  • Subscription Reminder — Sent during the grace period to prompt renewal. Editable subject line and body with merge tags for tenant name, expiry date, and payment link.
  • Payment Confirmation — Sent after a payment is verified. Includes plan name, amount, and next billing date.
Tip: Use the Preview button next to each template to see how it renders in Arabic and English before saving. Available merge tags are listed in the sidebar of the editor.

Notification Rules

Configure which events trigger email alerts to platform admins:

  • New Signup — Alert when a new firm registers (includes firm name, plan, and admin email)
  • Failed Payment — Alert when a payment submission is rejected or a verification attempt fails
  • Support Ticket — Alert when a firm admin submits a support request via the platform

Each rule can be toggled independently. Alerts are sent to the platform support email address defined in General Settings.

Maintenance Mode

When enabled, maintenance mode prevents all tenant logins and displays a custom message instead. Use this during database migrations, infrastructure upgrades, or emergency incidents.

  • Toggle — Enable or disable with a single switch
  • Custom Message — The message shown to tenants attempting to log in (supports Arabic and English)
  • Estimated End Time — Optional field; displayed to users so they know when to check back
Warning: Enabling maintenance mode immediately locks out all tenant users. Platform admin accounts are exempt and retain access. Always announce planned maintenance in advance via the support email.
