Client Intake

Register new clients, fill in intake forms, and assign them to a lawyer or leave for admin assignment.

Overview

Client intake is one of your primary responsibilities. When a new client visits or calls the firm, you are the first point of contact. AdlDesk provides a structured intake form to capture all relevant information at the time of registration, ensuring the client is properly added to the system before being connected to a lawyer.

Client Intake

Opening the Intake Form

Navigate to Clients from the sidebar and click Add New Client, or use the quick Register New Client button on the dashboard. Both open the same intake form.

Client Type

The first field is Client Type. Choose between:

  • Individual — A natural person. Requires national ID and personal contact details.
  • Corporate — A company or organization. Requires commercial registration number and authorized representative details.

Required Fields

Fill in all required fields based on the client type:

  • Name (Arabic) — Full legal name in Arabic as it appears on official documents.
  • Name (English) — Full name transliterated or as shown on passport.
  • Phone — Primary contact number with country code.
  • Email — Contact email address (optional but recommended).
  • National ID / Commercial Registration — Government-issued identification number.
  • Address — Current residential or business address.
  • Notes — Any additional information relevant to the initial inquiry.
  • Referral Source — How the client heard about the firm (walk-in, referral, website, social media, other).

Assigning to a Lawyer

At the bottom of the form, you can optionally assign the client to a specific lawyer using the Assign to Lawyer dropdown. If the appropriate lawyer is not known or unavailable, leave this field empty and the firm admin will complete the assignment. The client record is saved either way.

Tip: Referral source data is used in monthly reports by the firm admin. Always fill it accurately — even if the client says "I just saw your sign" that counts as walk-in.
Important: Do not create duplicate client records. Before registering a new client, always search by phone number or national ID first to confirm they are not already in the system from a previous visit.
