Financial Overview KPIs
The top section of any Financial page displays four summary KPI cards updated in real time:
- Total Revenue — sum of all paid invoices in the selected period.
- Outstanding Balance — sum of all unpaid or partially paid invoices.
- Monthly Expenses — total expenses recorded in the current calendar month.
- Net Profit — Total Revenue minus Monthly Expenses for the selected period.
Financial Charts
Below the KPI cards, two charts provide visual context:
- Revenue Trend (line chart) — monthly revenue plotted over the last 12 months, with a dotted projection line for the current month.
- Expense Breakdown (donut chart) — percentage split of expenses by category for the current month, helping identify the largest cost drivers.
Tip: Use the period selector (this week / this month / this quarter / this year) in the top-right of each financial page to compare different time windows without navigating away.
Important: Financial data is visible only to users whose role has the Financial — Read permission enabled. Non-financial team members such as paralegals typically should not have this permission.
