Last updated: July 2026
Accessing the Treasury Page
From the left sidebar, expand Financial and click Treasury. The page opens with three balance summary cards at the top followed by a full transaction log.

Balance Cards
Three cards display the current standing of your firm's liquid assets:
- Total Cash — the sum of all physical cash held in the firm's cashboxes across all branches.
- Bank Balance — the aggregate balance across all registered bank accounts.
- Petty Cash — the petty cash fund balance for day-to-day minor expenses.
Each card shows the balance in real time, updating as new transactions are recorded.
Reading the Transaction Log
The transaction log table contains seven columns:
- Date — the transaction date.
- Type — Deposit (funds in) or Withdrawal (funds out).
- Amount — the transaction amount.
- Source / Destination — the origin of a deposit or the recipient of a withdrawal.
- Account — which account (cash, bank account name, petty cash) was affected.
- Notes — free-text field for context.
- Recorded By — the team member who logged the transaction.
Recording a New Transaction
Click New Transaction. The form requires:
- Type — select Deposit or Withdrawal.
- Amount — the transaction amount.
- Date — the date the movement occurred (defaults to today).
- Account — select which account is affected (Cash, main bank account, petty cash, or a named bank account if multiple are registered).
- Reference — a bank reference number, receipt ID, or check number for reconciliation.
- Notes — describe the reason for the transaction.
Click Save Transaction. The corresponding balance card updates immediately.
Tip: Record every cash movement, however small. An accurate petty cash log prevents discrepancies during month-end reconciliation and makes internal audits straightforward.
Important: Only users with the Financial — Create permission can add transactions. The Treasury page is read-only for users with only Financial — Read.
