Accessing Roles & Permissions
Navigate to Settings from the left sidebar, then click the Roles tab. The page displays a grid of role cards — one card per role in your firm.

Understanding Role Cards
Each card shows the role name, the number of users assigned to it, and a summary of enabled permissions. Built-in roles (firm_admin, lawyer, paralegal, client) are shown first. You can edit their permissions but cannot delete them.
Creating a Custom Role
- Click the Add Role button at the top-right of the roles grid.
- Enter a Role Name in Arabic and English.
- Optionally add a short description for internal reference.
- Configure permissions for each module group (see below).
- Click Save Role.
Permission Groups
Permissions are organised into eight functional groups, each with individual CRUD checkboxes (Create, Read, Update, Delete):
- Cases — manage case records, status updates, and hearing entries.
- Clients — view and edit client profiles and contact information.
- Financial — access invoices, payments, expenses, and treasury records.
- Documents — upload, view, download, and delete case documents.
- Calendar — create and manage firm-wide events and reminders.
- Chat — send messages and participate in case-linked conversations.
- Reports — view and export analytics and performance reports.
- Settings — modify firm settings, users, branches, and roles.
To grant a permission, tick the corresponding checkbox. To revoke it, untick. You can select All at the group level to toggle all four CRUD permissions at once.
