Using the Calendar
View and manage all your hearings, deadlines, meetings, and reminders in one calendar.
Last updated: July 2026
Opening the Calendar
Click Calendar in the left sidebar to open your personal calendar. All events shown are scoped exclusively to you — hearings, tasks, and reminders assigned to other lawyers do not appear here.

Calendar Views
Switch between three views using the buttons at the top right of the calendar:
- Monthly — a grid showing all days of the current month with event indicators.
- Weekly — a seven-day view with hourly time slots for precise scheduling.
- Daily — a single-day detailed view, ideal for busy court days.
Event Types & Color Coding
Each event type has a distinct color for instant visual recognition:
- Hearing — blue: court sessions imported from the Hearings module.
- Meeting — green: internal or client meetings.
- Deadline — red: filing deadlines or legal time limits.
- Reminder — amber: personal reminders.
- Appointment — purple: client or court appointments.
- Task Due — teal: task due dates from the Tasks module.
Creating a Calendar Event
- Click on any date or empty time slot.
- The new event form opens with that date pre-filled.
- Enter a title, select the event type, and add optional notes.
- Set the start and end time.
- Configure the reminder: 15 minutes before, 1 hour before, 1 day before, or custom.
- Click Save.
Editing and Deleting Events
Click any existing event to open its details panel. From there you can edit all fields or click Delete to remove the event. Note that hearings created from the Hearings module can only be fully edited from within the case.
Tip: Use the weekly view on Sunday evening to plan your upcoming court week. Spot conflicts between hearings and internal deadlines before they become a problem.
Important: Deleting a calendar event that was auto-generated from a hearing does not delete the underlying hearing record in the case. Always update the hearing from within the case detail page.
