Your Cases List

The Cases page in AdlDesk is automatically filtered to show only the cases where you are the assigned lawyer. You do not need to apply any extra filter — the list is personal by default.

Case Statuses

Every case carries one of the following statuses that reflect its current stage in the legal process:

  • Draft — case created but not yet formally opened.
  • Open — officially accepted and active.
  • In Progress — work is actively ongoing.
  • Pending Hearing — awaiting a scheduled court session.
  • Adjourned — session postponed; next date not yet fixed.
  • Closed Won — concluded with a favorable verdict or outcome.
  • Closed Lost — concluded with an unfavorable outcome.
  • Closed Settled — resolved through an out-of-court settlement.
  • Archived — moved to long-term storage; read-only.

To change a status, open the case detail page and use the status dropdown at the top of the overview card.

Filtering Cases

Use the filter bar above the list to narrow results:

  • Status — select one or multiple statuses from the dropdown.
  • Priority — Low, Medium, High, or Urgent.
  • Type — Civil, Criminal, Family, Commercial, Labor, Administrative, Real Estate, or Personal Status.

Searching Cases

The search bar at the top of the cases page performs a live search across case numbers and titles. Type at least two characters to see instant results. For more powerful search across clients and documents, use the global search bar described in the Search & Filters article.

Tip: Pin your most common filter combination (e.g., In Progress + High Priority) as a saved preset to open it with one click every time.
Important: Only firm administrators and managers can reassign a case to a different lawyer. Contact your office admin if a case has been assigned to the wrong person.
