Global Search Bar
The global search bar is located in the top navigation bar and is accessible from every page in AdlDesk. Click the magnifying glass icon or press Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+K (Mac) to open the search palette.

What You Can Search
The global search spans three main entity types:
- Cases — search by case number (e.g., "2024/450"), case title, or the client's name linked to the case.
- Clients — search by full name, phone number, email address, or national ID number.
- Documents — search by document title or content keywords (for indexed documents).
Results from all categories appear simultaneously in grouped sections. Click any result to navigate directly to that record.
Page-Level Filters
Each major page (Cases, Clients, Documents, Tasks, Calendar) has its own filter panel. Filters are context-specific:
- Cases — filter by status, priority, case type, assigned lawyer, date range.
- Clients — filter by industry, city, account manager.
- Documents — filter by category, upload date, case link.
- Tasks — filter by status, priority, due date range, assigned user.
To apply filters, expand the filter panel using the Filters button above the list, set your desired values, and click Apply.
Saving Filter Presets
Once you configure a useful filter combination, click Save as Preset and give it a descriptive name (e.g., "My Urgent Open Cases"). Saved presets appear as quick-access buttons above the filter panel — click once to apply instantly without reconfiguring.
Recent Searches
The global search palette shows your recent searches when you open it without typing. These are stored locally per browser session and help you quickly re-run common lookups without retyping.
