Case Details & Parties
Navigate case detail tabs, manage case information, and add or edit parties like plaintiffs, defendants, and witnesses.

The Case Detail Page
Clicking any case from your list opens the full case detail page. This page is organized into six tabs, each covering a distinct aspect of the case lifecycle.

Tab Overview
- Overview — primary information card and summary.
- Hearings — all court sessions linked to this case.
- Tasks — to-do items scoped to this case.
- Documents — uploaded files and attachments.
- Parties — litigants, witnesses, and experts involved.
- Financial — fees, invoices, and payments related to the case.
Overview Tab
The Overview tab displays the core case information card containing:
- Case Number — unique identifier assigned by the system or entered manually.
- Case Type — civil, criminal, family, etc.
- Court — the court name and circuit.
- Status & Priority — quick-edit dropdowns.
- Open Date & Expected Close Date — timeline markers.
- Description — free-text notes about the case background.
Parties Tab
The Parties tab lists all individuals and entities involved in the case. Each party entry includes:
- Role — Plaintiff, Defendant, Witness, or Expert.
- Full Name — legal name as it appears in court filings.
- Contact Info — phone, email, and address.
- National ID / Commercial Registration — for identification purposes.
- Notes — internal notes about the party (not shared with the client portal).
Adding a Party
- Navigate to the Parties tab inside the case.
- Click Add Party.
- Fill in the role, name, and contact details.
- Click Save.
You can also link a party to specific hearings — for example, specifying which witnesses are expected to appear at a given session.
Tip: Use the Expert role for court-appointed or privately retained technical experts. You can record their field of expertise and contact details here for quick reference during proceedings.
Important: Party information entered here is internal to AdlDesk. Sharing specific party details with the client happens through the client portal, not automatically.
